Hello there friends.

It's been a long time since I updated my blog and I apologise to you all for my distinct tardiness in my efforts to maintain a digital presence. I shall no longer be making any promises to keep you updated with a monthly blog as I don't wish to make promises I can't keep. I will however strive to update you far more than once or twice a year.

I felt the need to address The Stargazer Series and more importantly where I feel to series needs to go and what has been done in order to give you all the best possible version of my work.

As many of you know I finished what I truly believed at the time to be my first book back in early to mid 2015 and subsequently self published that title through Amazon. At the time of publishing I had been going through a considerable amount of personal problems; old demons and current relationships at the time had stemmed my critical thinking and I felt I desperately had to publish in order to move my life forward.

Right now I can tell you that was a mistake and to those of you who read my first version of Book of Thunder I can only apologise at the amateur level writing you had to endure.

Over the past two years I felt I was done with the series. I was emotionally spent after fighting a creative battle that had sapped a lot of the joy out of the series for me and I was resolved to never write another word of the Saga ever again. I had moved on, other projects and writing challenges had taken my interest and I did not give the crew of the Mundilfari or their universe a second thought.

Somehow, life and the muse always finds a way though.

Back in February, I was sitting at dinner with my family when the subject of Book of Thunder came up. It had been so long since I'd thought about it that I struggled a little to recall all of the concepts I had in mind. My mother made a comment about the story suffering from being rushed at the beginning, more specifically, the rescue of Jasenka and Kjartan being so close together.

It was at this point that the muse started to whisper into my ear again. From there a dam burst in my brain. I couldn't stop thinking or conceptualising, the narrative took a new turn and a newer, bolder and altogether more adult and powerful story was unleashed.

In the last four/five months I have written six chapters, over 47000 words and we have not yet even begun to see where this story will take us. By comparison, my first printed manuscript came in at over 78000 words. This rewrite will be a much larger and fuller book that appropriately and accurately show to you, my beloved audience, just what it is that exists inside my head.

It is my plan to give to you all very soon a preview of my new work on this series. A sample chapter will be coming along just as soon as I've made the appropriate edits to it.

As always, thanks for reading.

Steve Mulholland
