About

Born in Brisbane, Australia in 1985 before moving to the U.K. with his parents in 1989. Steve Foot as he is known to his friends and family (Grumpy to his wife) would often lose himself in books about ancient mythology. The ancient worlds of the Greek, Roman and especially Norse gods held a special sway over his imagination. As Steve grew older his focus turned to comic books, in particular the futuristic dystopia of the 2000ad comics and James O'Barr's epic gothic revenge story "The Crow".

Eventually he found his way to the written word after being grounded by his parents one weekend. With nothing else to do Steve read the whole of the Lord of the Rings in a single weekend and ever since has loved epic fantasy stories such as the kind written by his hero's Jim Butcher, R.A. Salvatore, Neil Gaiman, Ursula Le Guin, George R.R. Martin, Scott Lynch and of course, most recently, Andrzej Sapkowski.

Choosing the name S.G. Mulholland, Steve began penning his first story "Last of the Valhalla Kings". By his own admission, it was not up to his own expectations and put aside his literary ambitions temporarily.

It would not take long before he got the itch once more. It would take two years but the first of his stargazer trilogy would finally be complete (much to the relief of everyone around him, especially his beloved wife) and published through Amazon.

Once again, and by his own admission, this book was not up to his own high standards and the book would be taken from the shelves. After a lengthy period of soul searching and reflection he settled on a path of urban fantasy and the Puck stories were born.

While his Stargazer series may have been put to bed for now he is currently working on the Puck series and getting them ready for public viewing through this very website.

Currently he lives in the West Midlands with his wife Samantha and their three Guinea Pigs: Severus, Ghost and Luna
